Abstract

The main objective of this research is to assess the impact of air quality on human health and the environment in an urban area near a nuclear power plant. Based on the spatial information model using the GIS database. Assumptions of concentrations of pollutants and modeling with respect to the distribution and height of buildings have been developed to reach a visual result that has the potential to provide valuable information to analyze the impact of pollution in the affected area and population. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) has been employed by the architectural and profession, as the modeling tool is able to provide detailed airflow analysis in aiding the incorporation of innovative natural ventilation concept into on urban design phase.
