Abstract

Cyber-physical systems (CPS) are systems where the cyber element intertwines with the physical element to oversee critical functions such as intelligent power distribution, self-driven cars, and manufacturing control. They act as central frameworks in today's society, supporting various innovations and effectiveness across numerous fields. Nonetheless, these systems possess high levels of connected complication, which in turn renders them highly vulnerable to cyber threats and threats of cyber warfare, whereby crucial services may be shut down, and a devastating impact may be imposed on the economy and society. AI orchestration has become one of the most revolutionary ways to improve CPS security. AI can use real-time data, machine learning, and adaptive decision-making to identify, assess, and neutralize threats. Thus, this essay discusses how AI orchestration strengthens CPS against contemporary cyber threats by leveraging reactive monitoring methods and intelligent control. The structure of the essay is chosen in such a way as to allow for an exhaustive analysis of the subject. It includes three real-time simulations: defending a smart power grid, countering threats in the AV networks, and protecting Industrial IoT systems. These simulations show how AI works in terms of monitoring for deviations and how it helps guarantee the stability of a system. Issues such as scalability, adversarial attacks, and data privacy are also being introduced, along with solutions such as federated learning and resigner AI models. The conclusion restates the rationale, stressing more research and development to achieve CPS in the future, which will be a growing digital reliance.
